Lemon Basil, with its refreshing citrus aroma, is an excellent choice for hydroponic cultivation. 🌱 Hydroponic systems provide an ideal environment for Lemon Basil, leading to faster growth and a more intense flavor compared to soil planting. Harvesting can commence once the plant reaches 6-8 inches tall; pinch off the top leaves to encourage bushier growth, which also delays flowering and extends the harvesting period. 🍋

For healthy plants, monitor water quality regularly. Lemon Basil prefers a slightly acidic to neutral pH and moderate EC levels. Pruning is straightforward - remove any flowers that appear to ensure the plant focuses its energy on foliage production. While Lemon Basil is generally pest-resistant, watch out for common hydroponic pests such as aphids and spider mites. Regularly inspect plants and employ organic pest control methods as necessary. 🌼

Pollination is not a concern for leaf production; however, if you wish to harvest seeds, allow some flowers to develop and pollinate naturally. With proper care, Lemon Basil serves not only as a culinary delight but also as a fragrant addition to your hydroponic garden.
